Our Mission
To provide high quality supplementary academic support, leadership trainings, mentorship, and economic opportunities to children and youth living in vulnerable communities.
Our Story
Founded in 2021 by two young leaders, Dorothy Kamoto and Lucy Nkwinika, Young & Empowered emerged as a response to the unique challenges facing children and youth growing up in Lunzu, on the outskirts of Blantyre city. We envision a future where they have the resources they need to realize their dreams and take an active part in developing their communities. Through our partnership with Urban Promise International, we provide holistic programs that nurture spiritual, social, academic, and physical growth.
