Emily Matiya

Emily Matiya is the Tailoring & Designing Trainer at Young & Empowered Malawi, where she empowers youth, particularly girls, through practical skills training and creative mentorship. With a background in fashion design, she leads programs that combine technical skill-building with personal development, supporting participants in achieving economic independence and self-confidence. Emily is actively involved in the organization’s Girls’ Empowerment initiatives and has been recognized as a “ShE Leader” for her contributions to youth leadership and community development in Malawi.
