Young and Empowered Malawi is proud to announce that we have been honoured with the Youth Impact and Leadership Award in recognition of our work and the impact we are making in the lives of young people in Malawi.
Since our founding, YEM has been committed to creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and build better futures. Through our programs in education, skills development, girls’ empowerment, leadership, and entrepreneurship, we work alongside young people to help them discover their potential and turn their ideas and skills into opportunities.
One of the areas where we have seen significant growth is our Skills Training Program, which has supported more than 200 young women and girls with practical skills in tailoring, fashion design, hairdressing, and cosmetology. Our programs also create opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, access academic support, and contribute solutions to challenges in their communities.
“This award is a celebration of the young people who inspire us every day and a reminder of what is possible when young people are given the opportunity to thrive.”
Receiving the Youth Impact Award is an important milestone for YEM, particularly as we celebrate five years of service and impact. We are grateful to our students, staff, volunteers, partners, donors, and supporters who have walked with us throughout this journey.
We celebrate this award together and look forward to creating even greater impact in the years ahead.
